Event Outline

This webinar will discuss Lumbar Radiculopathy and explore the causes, red flags and when and how to request imaging.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the range of causes of lumbar radiculopathy, from common to not so common and be able to recognise red flags
  • Know how to justify and request appropriate imaging protocols in patients with lumbar radiculopathy
  • Be able to recognise disc herniations and other common causes of radiculopathy on lumbar MRI scans
  • Be able to apply imaging findings and MRI report information to inform management

Inger Roug FRCC

Inger Roug is a 1989 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Iowa, USA. She subsequently earned her diplomate of the American Chiropractic College of Radiology from Logan University College of Chiropractic, Missouri, USA. Inger lectured at three chiropractic universities in North America from 1999-2014 and is currently a chiropractic radiologist and senior lecturer at HSA. Inger Roug has authored several peer-reviewed research and case report articles in chiropractic and biomedical literature. In addition to classroom teaching, Inger worked from 2003-2014 for two MR Imaging centres in the Atlanta, Georgia area, where her main caseloads were MRI and CT imaging of the spine and extremities. Inger is a Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractors and Higher Education Academy. In 2018 she earned her Pg.Cert in Medical Ultrasound from Bournemouth University.
