Course Description

This course is aimed at chiropractors working with children aged 0-18 with headaches and migraines. It will provide you with skills in communication, neurological and chiropractic examination, treatment plans, detecting Red Flags and knowledge of research and evidence in this field. A chiropractic treatment strategy will be presented and information on advice and prognosis as well as a look at when and where to refer out.

You will cover the following:

• Epidemiology and research

• The headache project: an RCT- design and results.

• The interview when the child comes to the clinic, headache characteristics, lifestyle, trauma, differential diagnosis

• Practical exercise

• Neurologica, orthopedic and chiropractic examination, red Flags, treatment plan

• Practical exercise

Speaker

Susanne Lynge D.C. (Palmer College 1986) and MSc. Chiropractic pediatrics (AECC 2012) Has worked in a private family practice for 36 years.

She is a member of the Board of pediatric chiropractors in Denmark (DSK).

Primary Investigator and chiropractor of the first large scale RCT investigating the effect of chiropractic manipulation on children with headache and migraine
